Plant Manager, Siemer Milling Co.
Mary Gleason (Hencke) was named Siemer Milling Plant Manager for the Hopkinsville operation in March 2017. Prior to this position she spent 8 years working at various flour mills across the country including: General Mills in Carisle, IA, Ardent Mills in Saginaw, TX, Cargill in Minneapolis, MN, Cargill in Culpeper, VA, Cargill in Newton, KS, and Cargill in Saginaw, TX.
Mary was born and raised in Halstead, Kansas. She graduated in 2009 from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, with a degree in Milling Science and Management and a minor in Ag Business. She also graduated in 2009 from the Swiss School of Milling in St. Gallen, Switzerland, with a technical degree as a Milling Technologist. Mary met her husband, Jacob, of 10 years at a safety conference while both working for Cargill. They enjoy living in Hopkinsville with their baby girl, Vera Rose. In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time outdoors and soaking up every minute with Vera Rose.
Each year, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce Hosts events throughout the year for the Women in Business of Logan County. These events include a WIB Spring Craft, WIB Annual Luncheon, and WIB Christmas Craft. These events are great networking opportunities for the Women of Logan County to come together and enjoy a meal or craft, while getting to know each other and build relationships across various businesses professionals in the area.
